Ruin and Collapse

from Errata by End States

/

lyrics

Through the worn out streets our ripped up feet concede to the force that is inflicted by the ones too mad to leave. They spill out into the street and into plastic cars to drive across a weather-beaten track into the night. We felt lonely lost with sin. On into dawn a riding of the tide as we begin to face ourselves a moment and remember what we did. A mireful dark, a filament, a shred of fear within. Everything takes care of itself. Call curses into sky. Where pundits weather frank exchanges in formal shirts and ties. The moments lost. The time it cost to pursue ventures and why do the choices made pave and predict our way in life. Bruised by burden we will break. Beaten down and quickly rolled into shallow seductive graves. From ticket stubs and memories to our cast iron fates. Solitude and tempers lost. Charred ruins still remain.
